TOTA - Part Six - (ARC 3: The Future)

Father and Mother had already knew that their three improved children love drawing and writing their stories (like Father does), so they slowly introduced them to some of his works in his personal library. Initially, Father permitted the children to borrow a few drawings and books of his (which they shared), and this has caused them to pester him into teaching them more.

Mother, while teaching her children to write better story-lines, then suggested to Father one day to have a family visit to his elderly parents for Thanksgiving -- after all, since they initially let him freely pursue his passions in his youth, why not give them a try in helping her and Father reignite their talents? Furthermore, it does not matter that 'they are not grouchy' or such: they want to return to their son and his family, rather than live alone at an otherwise-beautiful cabin!

So that is what he did. And his parents did not resent him for leaving them aside, but they welcomed him and forgave him. They were also pleased to see his fair children and girlfriend again (now that she is his wife for years, they accepted her), and are willing to encourage them in their creativity.

In all of this he also planned to sell his parents' cabin, so to fulfill their wishes to be accommodated into his house (in which he had a spare room cleared up for them), and for them to see their grandchildren every day, and to help them. Yet, when he talked about his former career to be an artist, subsumed by his office life, they all advised him to continue his current job -- it is good to be an artist, but it is better to earn enough money to keep the family afloat and going, even enjoy one's work, rather than smash one's career to the ground for the sake of one's dreams. Even his wife agreed with them, and added that his parents will be willing to help her handle the children when she will be gone, especially that now her husband will no longer object to letting her continue her studies to get her own job, and bring extra money to the household.

Yet he himself, in spite of agreeing with them to keep his job, he still felt like wanting to quit his job and revive his artistic business. It may be possible, but, resigned to his current choice, he asks the Lord God to help him continue his office work.
